Women Empowerment

This programme is designed to uplift and empower women, many of whom are mothers of children in our after-school programme, by inviting them to volunteer their time and talents within HewLin Compassion. Through their involvement, they gain exposure to a wide range of personal development opportunities, including managing administrative processes, catering, waste management, and facilitating workshops and meetings. These experiences nurture confidence, practical skills, and leadership qualities, enabling women to grow as capable, resourceful, and compassionate contributors to both their families and their communities.

Our weekly Personal Development Plan training sessions continue to play a vital role in strengthening the HewLin Compassion community. These sessions span essential areas such as career guidance, CV development, acquiring ID documents, setting up bank accounts, mock interview practices, report writing, email account setups, and more. By engaging in these activities, participants are consistently equipped with practical skills that support both personal and professional growth.

The training is not limited to youth alone—women who volunteer within HewLin Compassion also benefit from exposure to personal development initiatives. Through responsibilities such as managing administrative processes, catering, waste management, and facilitating workshops and meetings, they gain confidence and leadership experience that complements the skills taught in the sessions. This creates a holistic environment where both young people and mothers are empowered to grow into capable, compassionate leaders within their communities.
