The Compassion Convention a Success
"I will give you one week, take children off the streets and extremely desperate circumstances, put enough seed in them, so they don't have to go back to a life without hope for their future - God"

HewLin Compassion, in partnership with the Teach Love Care Network, the Bellville- and Parow-based VRCID, ward 26 and Bethel Outreach Ministries, held a convention where various children from Parow, Athlone, Kraaifontein, Leonsdale and Elsies River could just be children.
There are already success stories following the Compassion Convention held from Monday 23rd July 2018 to Thursday 26 July 2018 in Melkbosstrand.
The convention had a unique approach, which targeted young children from, disadvantaged communities We had to give them a voice, an opportunity to express themselves through dancing and arts and crafts, and we were so excited to give them breakfast in bed, he says. We had a great team assisting us in the kitchen, conducting the programme, and a team supporting us with resources like clothes and stationery. We received stories of children who are no longer on the streets; some want to go back to school and and others are in the process of enrolling for higher education.
We would like to thank every single individual, organisation and business who partnered with us in make this convention a great success. We are aiming at making 2019 an even greater success.
Thank you,
Hewitt de Jager
